我若有先知講道之能，也明白各樣的奧秘，各樣的知識，而且有全備的信，叫我能夠移山，卻沒有愛，我就算不得什麼。
我若將所有的賙濟窮人，又捨己身叫人焚燒，卻沒有愛，仍然與我無益。
哥林多前書 13:1-3
》過去在北門聖教會時，我們團契羨慕其它團契有詩班，也計畫成立。成立之前，一位執事提醒我，這個詩班，應該要接納所有的團契肢體，不要去考量是否有歌唱的恩賜。我想，這是教會與外面團體最大的不同，最重要的是基督的愛，如果無法確保這樣的愛存在的事情，我們寧願不做。
如今常存的有信，有望，有愛這三樣，其中最大的是愛。
哥林多前書 13:13
然而我也要提醒自己，基督的愛是人無法靠意志力達成的，必須時刻讓聖靈內住，也必須時刻仰望耶穌。
耶和華的聖民哪，你們要歌頌他，稱讚他可記念的聖名。
因為，他的怒氣不過是轉眼之間；他的恩典乃是一生之久。一宿雖然有哭泣，早晨便必歡呼。
