並且要以我主長久忍耐為得救的因由、就如我們所親愛的兄弟保羅、照著所賜 給他的智慧、寫了信給你們。他一切的信上、也都是講論這些事。信中有些難明白的、那無學問不堅固的人 強解、如強解別的經書一樣、就自取沉淪。彼後3:15-16 
>> 屬靈長輩、師長總是強調「以經解經」的重要性，我想，在此使徒彼得也在說類似的重點。我們人生會經歷許多事，我們尋求神的話語得著指引是好事，但最怕「聽錯」上帝的話，而將自己的盼望強壓在上帝話語之上就會發生！求主保守我心，讀經靈修時，務必讓神的話帶領，而不是讓自己的意念超過神的話語。求主的光透過祂的話語照亮我身上每個角落。

因此，我們自從聽見的日子，也就為你們不住的禱告祈求，願你們在一切屬靈的智慧悟性上，滿心知道神的旨意；好叫你們行事為人對得起主，凡事蒙他喜悅，在一切善事上結果子，漸漸的多知道神；照他榮耀的權能，得以在各樣的力上加力，好叫你們凡事歡歡喜喜的忍耐寬容；歌羅西書 1:9-11 (和合本) For this reason we also, since the day we heard about it, have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all perseverance and patience; joyously
